1 Corinthians 3:9 (NKJV)
“For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.”



Devotional

There is a powerful truth every believer must come to understand:
we are not spectators in God’s Kingdom—we are participants.

We are called to co-labor with Christ.

God is sovereign—He rules and reigns above all—but in His divine wisdom, He has chosen to work through people. Throughout Scripture, we see that God reveals His plans and carries out His purposes through willing vessels.

Ephesians 3:20 (NIV) reminds us:
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”

Notice that—His power is at work within us.
God doesn’t just move around us—He moves through us.

This means your life has purpose.

Your obedience matters. Your “yes” to God is part of a much bigger Kingdom picture.

Ephesians 2:10 (NIV) declares:
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

God has already prepared assignments, opportunities, and callings for your life.
But here’s the key: you must choose to walk in them.

Deuteronomy 30:19 (NIV) says:
“I have set before you life and death… Now choose life…”

God sets the path—but we choose whether to walk it.

Because of this, we are not owners—we are stewards. We will give an account for what we did (or didn’t do) with what God placed in our hands.

And as you step into your calling, don’t expect it to be easy.

Resistance is not a sign you’re off track—
it’s often confirmation you’re on the right path.


1 Peter 4:12 (NIV) says:
“Do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal… as though something strange were happening to you.”

James 1:2–4 (NIV) tells us:
“Consider it pure joy… because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work…”

Trials produce maturity. Resistance builds endurance.

At the same time, the enemy will try to distract you.

Matthew 13:22 (NIV) warns:
“The worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.”

Distraction is one of the enemy’s greatest strategies.

If he can’t stop you, he’ll try to sidetrack you.

That’s why we must live with unwavering focus.

Luke 9:51 (ESV) says:
“When the days drew near… He set his face to go to Jerusalem.”

Isaiah 50:7 (NIV) echoes:
“I have set my face like flint…”

Jesus was resolute. Determined. Unshaken.

And we are called to live the same way—
focused, faithful, and fully surrendered.

When every believer finds their place, obeys God’s voice, and walks in their calling, something powerful happens:

God knits His people together, and through that unity,
He impacts cities, nations, and the world.

7.What is one specific assignment or calling you sense God has placed on your life right now?

9.How can you “set your face like flint” and stay focused on God’s purpose?



Application
•Ask the Lord to clearly reveal the specific assignments He has for your life.
•Identify any distractions or areas where you’ve drifted off course.
•Make a fresh decision today to choose obedience and walk in what God has called you to do.
•When resistance comes, don’t retreat—press forward with perseverance.
•Set your focus like flint—be unwavering in pursuing God’s purpose for your life.



Prayer

Lord, thank You that You have called me to co-labor with You.
Thank You that my life has purpose and that You have prepared good works for me to walk in.

Help me to clearly hear Your voice and to choose obedience daily.
Give me strength to endure resistance, wisdom to avoid distractions, and courage to press forward no matter the cost.

Set my face like flint toward Your will.
Let Your power work through me to accomplish Your purposes in the earth.

Use my life for Your glory, Lord.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
