Exposing Intimidation

Countless Christians battle intimidation, yet most wrestle with its effects rather than its source. That’s because many are unaware that intimidation is a spirit and can only be overcome by waging war in the spirit.

Believers are in a spiritual battle:
-When you know your enemy, you’ll know how to correctly wage war with them.
The spirit of intimidation attempts to paralyze believers by stripping them of their God-given authority.  You can rise above fear and find freedom.

 -Many people who are under an attack of intimidation fail to recognize exactly what they are dealing with. As a result, they deal with its effects rather than its source. What are some ways you’ve dealt with the effects of intimidation?

-What are downfalls to just dealing with the effects of intimidation rather than the source?

READ & RESPOND
God’s Word is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17). When you declare God’s Word, you wage war in the spirit and release God’s power and authority into your circumstances. Once God’s Word is released, it will not return void (Isaiah 55:11), angels are dispatched and become active (Psalm 103:20), and God watches over His Word to make sure it’s fulfilled, giving you victory (Jeremiah 1:12).

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not 5
fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:10–12) I declare, I am strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. I put on the whole armor of God so that I will be able to stand firm against all the strategies of the devil. For I do not fight against flesh-and-blood enemies, but I fight against the rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against the mighty powers in this dark world, and against the evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. (Ephesians 6:13–15)
I declare, I put on every piece of God’s armor so I will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. I stand my ground, and I put on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. I walk in the peace that comes with obeying God’s Word.
In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, 6 and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. (Ephesians 6:16–17)

Confession of Faith:

I declare, I hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. I put on the helmet of salvation and I use the Word of God as a sword to fight my spiritual battles.
