Worship arts

At Destiny City Church we believe that GOD deserves and desires the best and most demonstrative praise that we can give; so we sing, we shout, we dance, we clap our hands, we'll play any instrument so long as its played skillfully and we do so with as much exuberance and excellence that we can give.

We do all of this because God deserves nothing but our best!

Give to the Lord, O families of the peoples,

Give to the Lord glory and strength.

Give to the Lord the glory due His name;

Bring an offering, and come into His courts.

Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of His holiness!

Tremble before Him, all the earth. ~Psalm 96-7-9 NKJ

We also desire intimacy with God and during times of worship we get quiet and allow time for The Holy Spirit to move in our midst.  We lift our hands to Him in reverence and we bow on our knees in awe and wonder. We sing new songs to Him and we bask in the beauty of His Holiness.  In both times of praise and worship there is refreshment and healing that occurs as we simply are invited to come as children into the presence of our Heavenly Father.

Hallelujah! Praise God in his holy house of worship, praise him under the open skies; Praise him for his acts of power, praise him for his magnificent greatness; Praise with a blast on the trumpet, praise by strumming soft strings; Praise him with castanets and dance, praise him with banjo and flute; Praise him with cymbals and a big bass drum, praise him with fiddles and mandolin.

Let every living, breathing creature praise God! Hallelujah!

~Psalm 150:1-6 The Message
